...and did you get a new 2004 volvo?

No, the steering column on my 2000 Volvo blew up (or at least something dramatic happened, causing it to act as if something had). They gave me a "loaner" car while they did the (expensive) repair (> $2K). I've given it back now. My car doesn't have the escape hatch pull tab.
